During 2003 the Fund was again active in the archaeology of Jordan, having given grant support to the International Wadi Farasa Project and to the Zoara Survey and Excavation Project.

Konstantinos Politis directed the Zoara Survey and Excavation Project, and has presented a report on this work.

The Fund continued its support for the International Wadi Farasa Project, directed by Stephan Schmid.  Konstantinos Politis took part in this excavation as representative of the Fund, and his report is accompanied by plans and photographs to illustrate the finds made in the course of the season.

While participating in the International Wadi Farasa Project, Konstantinos Politis was also able to observe the very important work of the Department of Antiquities of Jordan at el-Khasneh, Petra, whose discoveries have reshaped perceptions of this monument.
